This dataset contains the official listing of all public educational organizations in Connecticut. Data elements include district name, school name, organization type, organization code, address, open date, interdistrict magnet status and grades offered.

Included data are collected by the CT State Department of Education (CSDE) through the Directory Manager (DM) portal in accordance with Connecticut General Statute (C.G.S.) 10-4. This critical information is used by other data collection systems and for state and federal reporting.

Information is available on key performance measures that make up the Next Generation Accountability System, as well as dozens of other topics, including school finance, special education, staffing levels and school enrollment.

This dataset includes the learning models (in-person, hybrid, and remote) by grade level by public school district during a given week of the 2020-2021 school year.

Starting in the reporting period for 11/16-11/20, the columns "Percentage of students who are fully remote" and "Total number of students in the district" will no longer be updated due to changes in the data being collected from schools. This dataset contains the school classifications, school performance indices (SPIs), and SPI target attainment status for 2012-13 for all schools that administered the Connecticut Mastery Test (CMT). It also includes school classifications assigned to elementary/middle schools with non-tested grades. These data were published in the School Performance Reports released by the CT State Department of Education (CSDE) in December 2013 (see http://www.csde.state.ct.us/public/performancereports/20122013reports.asp)

Note: Target attainment status says “n/a” if there is no 2012-13 SPI target or if there is no 2012-13 SPI, which happens when there are small N sizes for a particular subgroup or subject.

This dataset includes the attendance rate for public school students PK-12 by student group and by district during the 2021-2022 school year.

Student groups include:

Students experiencing homelessness
Students with disabilities
Students who qualify for free/reduced lunch
English learners
All high needs students
Non-high needs students
Students by race/ethnicity (Hispanic/Latino of any race, Black or African American, White, All other races)

Attendance rates are provided for each student group by district and for the state. Students who are considered high needs include students who are English language learners, who receive special education, or who qualify for free and reduced lunch.
