The Responsible Growth and Transit-Oriented Development (RGTOD) Grant Program provides funding opportunities to eligible applicants for projects that foster transit-oriented development, as defined in Section 13b-79o of the Connecticut General Statutes, and/or projects that demonstrate responsible growth through their consistency with the State Plan of Conservation and Development.

While the term “responsible growth” is not defined in statute, under this program it is generally considered to be an increased focus on the use and reuse of places where private and public investments made by previous generations can foster long-term growth of the state's economy while protecting the state's distinctive natural resources, landscapes, and landmarks for the future, and providing a high quality of life for the present.

Municipal Fiscal Indicators is an annual compendium of information compiled by the Office of Policy and Management, Intergovernmental Policy Division (IGP), Municipal Finance Services Unit (MFS). The data contained in Indicators provides key financial and demographic information on municipalities in Connecticut.

Municipal Fiscal Indicators contains the most current financial data available for each of Connecticut's 169 municipalities. The majority of this data was compiled from the audited financial statements that are filed annually with the State of Connecticut, Office of Policy and Management, IGP Division. This database of information includes selected demographic and economic data relating to, or having an impact upon, a municipality’s financial condition. The most recent edition is for the Fiscal Years Ended 2010-2014 published in April of 2016 (ammending the January 2016 version).

This dataset provides a list of providers of home and community based services in Connecticut and their private pay rates for long term care services as of January 1st each year, beginning with data from 2013.

Census tracts designated as Opportunity Zones. Qualified census tracts are those that have a poverty rate of at least 20 percent of a median income that does not exceed 80 percent of the area median income. The opportunity fund model encourages investors to pool their resources in opportunity zones, increasing the scale of investments going to underserved areas. The program provides a federal tax incentive for investors to re-invest unrealized capital gains into opportunity zones through opportunity funds. Under the terms of the program, the governor of each state must submit a plan to the federal government designating up to 25 percent of the qualified census tracts in their state as opportunity zones, which is then subject to approval of the Secretary of the Treasury.

In August 2013, $20M was approved for the state's first ever Nonprofit Grant Program. The program is a way of helping nonprofit health and human service agencies ensure that their funding goes towards assisting those most in need of their services by supporting capital purchases that enhance service delivery, efficiency and effectiveness.

Catalog of high value data inventories produced by Connecticut executive branch agencies, pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes Section 4-67p.

Executive branch agencies update their high value data inventories annually in December. This dataset was last collected in December of 2023.

High value data is defined as any data that the department head determines (A) is critical to the operation of an executive branch agency; (B) can increase executive branch agency accountability and responsiveness; (C) can improve public knowledge of the executive branch agency and its operations; (D) can further the core mission of the executive branch agency; (E) can create economic opportunity; (F) is frequently requested by the public; (G) responds to a need and demand as identified by the agency through public consultation; or (H) is used to satisfy any legislative or other reporting requirements.

The Connecticut Office of Policy and Management (OPM) was the Connecticut state agency charged with implementing the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) for criminal justice and energy programs.

Approximately $4.3 million of federal funds was distributed to 159 police departments/municipalities with the primary purpose to assist towns with participating in the ARRA of 2009 distribution of criminal justice grant funds.

This dataset provides detail on criminal justice projects funded through the ARRA.

This dataset contains data for 2014-2019 sourced from the State of Connecticut Uniform Chart of Accounts (UCOA). This system enables the annual collection of unaudited municipal trial balance data at the local account level, along with a mapping, or “cross walk” of that data to a standard, uniform chart of accounts for comparative purposes. This data is collected and stored in a system of databases developed for the Office of Policy and Management (OPM), including a Data Warehouse of financial balances. These balances are recorded at the account level and contain both local and uniform account metadata.
